Q: What Junior Clubs did you play for and what was the highlight of your junior career?

A: I played for the Prospect Sharks Footy club down in Tasmania. I won two Grand Finals in the three years I played there so that was a great highlight. Later on in my junior footy the highlight would have been winning the Division 2 National title with Tasmania.

Q: Who was your AFL Idol as a kid and why?

A: Shane Crawford was my idol as a kid. I barracked for Hawthorn like the rest of my family and he was just someone who I loved to watch play.

Q: What were you doing on the day you got drafted?

A: I was up at the draft on the Gold Coast with my family. My brother Kade got drafted at pick 5 to Gold Coast so I was happy for him and then I was waiting nervously to hear my name called out and when I got picked by Geelong I was rapt.

Q: What are some of your interests outside of football?

A: I follow the NBA pretty closely, mainly the Golden State Warriors, I enjoy going surfing, and I’ve just started getting into golf because a lot of the boys from Geelong play.

Q: If you weren’t playing football what would you be doing for a job?

A: I reckon I’d want to be working in a fish farm in Tasmania. Probably look at going to university as well.
