Orazio Fantasia – Essendon #13

downloadOrazio was drafted by Essendon with pick 55 in the 2013 National Draft after an excellent season with Norwood in the SANFL which was capped off by being part of the senior SANFL premiership team.

Coming to the Bombers knowing he needed development to play at AFL level in 2014 Orazio worked hard and played some excellent footy with Essendon in the VFL before being rewarded with his debut game against Richmond in round 20 of the AFL season. He went on to play a total of 3 games for the season.

Orazio has continued to work hard in the 2015 building up his body and fitness base. Having earned his spot in the side late in the year he was awarded a Rising Star Nomination in RD 23 for his dominant 27 disposal game against Collingwood.

2016 was a real break out year for Orazio. He kicked 29 goals and finished eighth in the best and fairest. Watch for Raz to establish himself as one of the elite small forwards in the competition.
