Andrew has been a key member of the Geelong side during the most successful period in the clubs history. He is now a triple Premiership player at Geelong with over 250 games experience.
With the recent departure of some of the Geelong veterans Andrew is a very senior member of the Cats side and will play an important role in Geelong’s push for more premiership glory.
Q: Which Junior Clubs did you play for and what was the highlight of your junior career?
A: I played for Sacred Heart College and Glenelg Football Club. The highlight was playing in year 12 with good mates. We had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed playing footy.
Q: Who was your AFL Idol as a kid and why?
A: Tony Modra. I went for the Crows and I enjoyed watching him taking hangers.
Q: What were you doing on the day you got drafted?
A: I was just at home. I had just got back from Schoolies the night before and I had friends and family over.
Q: What has been the highlight of your AFL career so far?
A: Winning three premierships with the Cats has been amazing.
Q: What are some of your interests outside of football?
A: I enjoy horse racing and breeding horses.
Q: If you weren’t playing football what would you be doing for a job?
A: I’m not 100% sure at the moment. I’m hoping to play footy for as long as I can and I’ll work it out once I get a bit closer to finishing my AFL career.
